It was delicious! I had an excellent turkey club & my husband had fish & chips. We were really hungry when we got there, so we went straight to the restaurant for lunch. The staff was very nice when checking us in and gave us a map of the resort and explained where some things were and some common rules such as always sitting on a towel, no photography, etc. It really had a "poconos" feel to it because of the beautiful tall pine trees surrounding the area. The pool area was great and had large pool and plenty of lounge chairs. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful the scenery was there. We looked up nudist resorts in Pennsylvania on the internet and Sunny Rest Resort came up, so we checked out the web site & decided to book a room for the weekend. My husband & I had never been to a clothing-optional resort before, but we decided to give it a try after researching it on the internet. We look forward to returning this summer!!! More Show less We would rent a hotel room which are very reasonable and also includes a cooked to order breakfast. The clientele are regulars, a lot of retirees who keep their vacation homes there for the season. We went one night when the Volleyball Tournament was on that weekend and met a lot of wonderful people. Friday/Saturday nights there is a DJ in the nightclub that draws a crowd. We never saw any drug use or behavior that would be considered over the edge but sure it does happen here. We have been to " Au Naturel" resorts in the Caribbean but this place rather simple, good food, cheap drinks and really a nice group of people. The place has its "Lifestyle" crowd and "Naturalists" but we are neither, we really like to lay in the sun and have no tan lines. Not a place for the faint at heart but for those who have been there done that, its really a great experience. Violations of privacy, intoxication, public immoral conduct, or any unruly disturbances will not be tolerated. My wife and I had visited Sunny Rest a few times last summer and really had a great time. Behavior (verbal or physical) or activity that disrupts the harmony and tranquility of the club, such as overt sexual behavior or the appearance of overt sexual behavior is unacceptable. NUDIST PARK ETIQUETTE: We are a nudist resort, not a sex club. They really need to review this policy of theirs from their own website. It's become more of a swingers resort and entertains all types of clubs and individual fetishes and lifestyles. Management seems to have a whole live and let live mentality, so as long as there is no violence, management and security are turning a blind eye to the open acts and everything else. You can try to stick to your campsite, but you can't escape the goings on and odd vibe. It's X rated for everything from sex, language, drugs, etc. This is not a kid friendly resort no matter what you read. Oh, and please don't bring your children here. Don't get me wrong, many of the "lifestyle" people are and can be nice and respectful too, but overall the clientele here has changed drastically from what it was years ago, and the new clientele is really taking over and giving this place a whole new vibe that we're just not in to. You will meet nice people, naturists like us, who just want to vacation with nature and experience a clothing optional lifestyle, but those nice people are becoming fewer and farther between. The majority, even those year round residents, are what they call "in the lifestyle". If by some small chance you don't actually see it, you will most definitely hear it (all night long)! Naturists are among the minority at this campground these days. Exhibitionism (not naturism) is a common theme. From BJ's around campfires to open acts on public roads near and in campsites. However, what started out as a naturist resort has somehow turned into a place no longer worthy of the AANR recommendation. There has, for a long time, been a variety of campers who were always respectful of individual choices. This place had been recommended through AANR years ago.
